JOEL
PROPHET
Joel
Chapter 2
27
Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I
am the Lord your God And there is no other. My people shall
never be put to shame.
28
"And it shall come to pass afterward That I
will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your
daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young
men shall see visions.
29
And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I
will pour out My Spirit in those days.
30
"And I will show wonders in the heavens
and in the earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke.
31
The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the
moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of
the Lord.
32
And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on
the name of the Lord Shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in
Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, As the Lord has said, Among the
remnant whom the Lord calls.

The
Book of Joel
Although
the superscription, or title (1:1), does not place Joel’s preaching
or the book’s composition in a specific historical context,
internal evidence favors a postexilic date for its composition,
probably 450–400 B.C.

1 And
it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out of my Spirit
upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and
your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see
visions.
2 And
on my servants and on [my] handmaids in those days will I pour out of
my Spirit.
3 And
I will shew wonders in heaven, and upon the earth, blood, and fire,
and vapor of smoke.
4 The
sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before
the great and glorious day of the Lord come.
5 And
it shall come to pass [that] whosoever shall call on the name of the
Lord shall be saved: for in mount Sion and in Jerusalem shall the
saved one be as the Lord has said, and they that have glad
tidings preached to them, whom the Lord has called.

ACTS
2
Acts
Chapter 2
1
When the Day of Pentecost had fully
come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And
suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind,
and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
3
Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat
upon each of them.
4 And
they were all filled with the Holy Spirit
and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them
utterance.
14
But Peter, standing up with the eleven,
raised his voice and said to them, "Men of Judea and all who
dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words.
16
But this is what was spoken by the prophet
Joel:
17
'And it shall come to pass in the last days, says
God, That I will pour out of My Spirit
on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams.
18
And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My
Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy.
19 I
will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath:
Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.
20
The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the
moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of
the Lord.
21
And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on
the name of the Lord Shall be saved.'
22
"Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of
Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and
signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you
yourselves also know --
23
Him, being delivered by the determined purpose
and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by lawless hands, have
crucified, and put to death;
24
whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of
death, because it was not possible that He should be held by
it.
32 This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.
32 This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.
33
Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received
from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit,
He poured out this which you now see and hear.
36
"Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God
has made this Jesus,
whom you crucified, both Lord and
Christ."

MARK

33
Now when the sixth hour had come, there was darkness
over the whole land until the ninth hour.
38
Then the veil of the temple was torn in two
from top to bottom.
39 So
when the centurion, who stood opposite Him, saw that He cried out
like this and breathed His last, he said, "Truly
this Man was the Son of God!"

MATTHEW

24
When Pilate saw that he could not
prevail at all, but rather that a tumult was rising, he took water
and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, "I am
innocent of the blood of this just
Person. You see to it."
25
And all the people answered and said, "His blood
be on us and on our children."
26
Then he released Barabbas to them; and when he had scourged Jesus,
he delivered Him to be crucified.
45
Now from the sixth hour until the ninth hour there was darkness
over all the land.
51
Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn
in two from top to bottom; and the earth
quaked, and the rocks were split,
54 So
when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw
the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared
greatly, saying, "Truly this was the Son
of God!"

Corinthians 15
PAUL
:
3 For
I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that
Christ
died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
4 and
that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to
the Scriptures,
5 and
that He was seen by Cephas (Peter), then by the twelve.
6
After that He was seen by over five hundred
brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present,
7
After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles.
8
Then last of all He was seen by me also,
